Ana and Junkrat from Overwatch are making their way to Nexus!

Blizzard’s Heroes of the Storm is just getting better and better! Fresh from releasing the long-awaited Archlich Kel’Thuzad, Blizzard has just announced the next set of upcoming heroes for HotS, and they are Ana and Junkrat from Overwatch. Their release will coincide with the in-game event entitled “Assault on Volskaya Foundry.”

The in-game event puts a spotlight on the second Overwatch-themed battleground in the game, Volskaya Foundry. As with the first Overwatch battleground Hanamura, Volskaya is introducing new objectives and features; the biggest of which is the Triglav Protector. The mech can be activated with the control points, and once activated it is controlled by two players – one handling movement and the other controlling the guns.

There will also be a limited-time brawl entitled “Bash ‘Em Smash ‘Em Robots.” It’s exactly what it sounds like, as teams will be given a Protector at the start of the brawl to fight with.

And as with all other Blizzard events, there’s also a quest that will give out cool freebies for players. Named “Pachimari Mania,” the quest will have players open Pachimari Boxes and find Golden Pachimari before each match. Finding Golden Pachimari gives players awesome rewards.

Going back to the new hereos; Junkrat’s skillset is still yet to be revealed by Blizzard. Though Ana’s abilities have recently been showcased by Blizzard, watch her Hero Spotlight below:

Most of Ana’s abilities are similar to her skill set in Overwatch; the biggest difference though is her second Heroic Ability named “Eye of Horus.” Eye of Horus has Ana set-up a sniping position and lets her fire eight “specialized rounds” with unlimited range. These rounds either heal teammates or damage enemy heroes.

Looking to try Ana and the new Volskaya Foundry map? Well here’s some good news for you. While the event is yet to be released on the main game, Ana and the new battleground are now playable at the HotS PTR!
