Gearbox and People Can Fly’s sleek and stylish first-person shooter, Bulletstorm: Duke of the Switch Edition is out on the Nintendo EShop right now and available for $29.99 (1500 PHP)!
The stealth launch took a lot of Switch owners by surprise as the game suddenly appeared on the Nintendo Eshop with nary a peep from the developers. An added surprise is that Bulletstorm: Duke of the Switch Edition lets players play through the entire game using the rocket-jumping, babe-stealing, Duke Nukem! Although the feature isn’t exactly new (it was part of The game’s remastered Full Clip Edition as Duke Nukem’s Bulletstorm Tour) the mode will feature brand-new lines from the original voice of Duke, Jon St. John!
The original Bulletstorm was centered around the story of Grayson Hunt, a member of a infamous mercenary group called Dead Echo. When Grayson disobeys an order to do the unthinkable, his compatriots turn on him and things get ugly fast. The ensuing fight forces them all to crash land on the resort planet of Stygia where Grayson then goes off to confront the former allies and make the answer for what they’ve done.
The gameplay of Bullestorm is where the game truly shines. Grayson is pretty agile and can jump, wall run, and slide through levels all while firing his arsenal of quirky cool guns. He also has an Energy Leash that allows him to pull off crazy moves like pulling enemies towards him, launching enemies into the air or jumping and slamming down with ball of explosive energy. The game also rewards players who stylishly and dispose of their enemies successively with the game’s combo system which keeps the action flowing at a break neck pace.
If you haven’t played the original Bulletstorm and own a Switch this might be the best time to pick up that energy whip and start a-crackin’
