Clash Royale February Balance Update

Supercell has just released the February balance update for Clash Royale and like the previous updates, it looks to weaken the most used cards in recent times. This time around it hits the Mega Knight, Knight, Skeleton Barrel, and Inferno Dragon among others.
The Mega Knight has slowly been on the rise and along with him he has brought with him the Inferno Dragon, a formidable support troop and a good counter. Because of this, seeing both the Mega Knight and the Inferno Dragon isn’t too surprising. This Balance update has also unveiled the Magic Archer, the newest Legendary card that will be available in early March.
Mega Knight: Spawn and Jump Damage -25%; Deployment radius reduced (deployment won’t hit beyond bridge and river)
The Mega Knight has grown to be one of the more played cards since he was released. His Fireball-like damage upon deployment makes him a good counter against many cards like the Musketeer, Archers, swarm troops, Wizard, and many more. Which is why it is unsurprising to see his spawn and jump damage go down. The decrease by 25% is pretty massive and doesn’t kill most cards that he used to kill upon spawn.
Skeleton Barrel: Skeleton count
8 → 6
The Skeleton Barrel has proven to be quite the card especially when paired with a strong tank and a timely Clone card. The lessened Skeleton count overall lowers the damage of the card, lowering the damage by about 1,000 on a Crown Tower when left alone.
Knight: Hitpoints -6%
The Knight has been a staple in many due to his tankiness and low Elixir cost. Because of this, a decrease in hitpoints isn’t too surprising. The change may seem minimal, the decrease of 6% makes it so cards will be able to kill the Knight with one less hit.
Inferno Dragon: Switches between targets slower
The change to the Inferno Dragon seems quite minor but it affects the effectivity of troops like Skeletons or Goblins in defending against the Inferno Dragon. The slower switching allows other troops to land more hits, effectively shutting down the flying Inferno Tower quicker.
Valkyrie: Hit Speed
1.5sec → 1.4sec
The Valkyrie sees a buff this patch with a 0.1 sec faster hit speed. This makes her much more efficient in slicing through large swarms of enemies. With a weaker Mega Knight and a slightly stronger Valkyrie, it may invite a return of the Hog Rider.
Bandit: Minimum Dash Range
4 tiles → 3.5 tiles
The Bandit has fallen off the meta since the bug fix that forced her to charge only when the target is 4 tiles away. The change to her minimum dash range makes her more efficient in clearing out solo troops by charging up her attack more often.
Dark Prince: Hit Speed
1.4sec → 1.3sec; Hitpoints +5%
The last card to receive a buff is from the Dark Prince who not only gets tankier but will also hit quicker. This makes him a better troop to lead the charge towards the Crown Tower. This buff paired with the recent Prince buff may bring back the Prince – Dark Prince combo.
