CONQuest Festival 2019 marks their most successful year with over 7,500 attendees

ISC Events, a student-run events management & content production firm based in Western Visayas, celebrate the conclusion to CONQUEST Festival 2019. The largest Esports and Pop Culture Event in Visayas-Mindanao took place last June 22-23 at the Iloilo Convention Center.

The number of attendees from the past year with over 7,500 attendees, this marked the most successful year ever for the event.

In its third consecutive year, CONQuest Festival has positioned itself to be the largest student-run enthusiast event in the country. It brought together fans and communities of gaming, anime, comics, technology, and vlogging under one roof in Iloilo. CONQuest Festival emphasizes education and community development.

Some of the activities that took place included:

  • Esports AcadArena – where schools battled it out in League of Legends and Hearthstone. University of Santo Tomas (UST) defeated the University of Iloilo 3-0 in the National Finals in League of Legends. UST received PHP 20,000 cash prize and a PHP 10,000 grant to the school. While Dave “P3rcy” Badiola from the University of the Philippines (UP) was crowned champion in Hearthstone and earned himself PHP 10,000 cash prize and PHP 10,000 grant.
  • QuestTalks – a series of industry talks and workshops held by resource speakers from across the world.
  • QuestPanels – a series of panels by streamers, comic artists, and vloggers showcasing their experiences and stories in their career. Some of the invited guests included streamers – Riku, Suzzysaur, and Kang Dupet; komikeros – Kikomachine, Little Things PH, and LibrengKomiks; and vloggers – Gloco Gaming, CongTV, and RogerRaker.

  • Creative Corner – a bazaar that featured over 50 artists and merchants from different parts of the country including Kikomachine Komix, Aeonix, and Overdrive Design’s RD Rogacion.

Along with these, there were open tournaments, game developer booths, technology exhibitors, influencer fan meets, and food festival.
