Converge Freedom Is the Company’s Own Video Streaming Service
Posted by Martin Patino on April 15, 2019

Converge is getting into the video streaming business with the launch of their Freedom service, an add-on for FiberX subscribers that will give them access to a set number of HD or SD channels through either an app or on their TV via a set-top box.

Freedom will only be available to new and current Converge FiberX subscribers and will only work  in their respective home networks. Each Freedom plan will give users access to the app for one device, with more app credentials costing PHP 50 each. The set-top box can be rented separately for a monthly fee of PHP100.

The new service will only be available in certain areas of Metro Manila (Navotas, Parañaque, Quezon City, Taguig, Pateros, Valenzuela, Marikina, Caloocan, and Muntinlupa) and North Luzon (Angeles, Mabalacat, Tarlac).

Converge subscribers residing in Metro Manila will have two Freedom plans available – Plan 299 and Plan 499 – the former will come with access to 8 HD channel and 49 SD channels while the latter will have 21 HD channels and 73 SD channels. As for those in the listed areas in North Luzon, three plans will be made available – a Plan 300 (18 HD + 52 sD), Plan 500 (25 HD + 78 SD), and a Plan 700 (40 HD + 97 SD).

More information on Converge and Freedom can be found of the official website.
