Destiny 2’s new expansion ‘Warmind’ coming this May

Bungie has announced that Destiny 2 will be getting its second DLC on the 8th of May. With the launch of Warmind, all DLC maps for Destiny 2’s player-versus-player Crucible mode will be available for free. Maps added in Destiny 2’s first DLC, Curse of Osiris will be included as well.

For Private Matches, however, which launch alongside Warmind, you will need the appropriate DLC to play a DLC map privately with your friends.

Warmind marks the beginning of Destiny 2’s third season. Bringing with it Private Matches, a new multi-emote system, exotic weapon masterworks and sandbox changes, heroic strike modifiers, Nightfall challenge cards and a much requested vault space increase. Bungie said that Warmind will “send you to new places to meet new heroes and battle new enemies”.

“It’s all hands on deck to make sure we deliver on our promise to restore Destiny 2 to the hobby we all love,” Christopher Barrett said in a statement.

Players can expect that a new seasonal event will be added later in the season, plus a new bounty system and clan chat for players on the PC platform.
