Dre Officially Joins The Playable Cast of ‘BAYANI’

Ranida Games’ BAYANI: Kanino Ka Kakampi?!, or just simple BAYANI, released its first major update last September 18 following its Steam Early Access launch last June.

The update saw the addition is the latest playable character – Dre. With the theme of being based off Filipino historical figures, Dre is heavily inspired by Andres Bonifacio, “the Father of the Philippine Revolution”.

Dre joins the current roster of four comprising of Joe (Jose Rizal), Oria (Gregoria De Jesus), Tonio (Antonio Luna), and Leon (Emilio Aguinaldo). Along with the new character, the update also adds in Oria’s stage – Campo Monumento – which is based from a real location in the Philippines.

“We are very much excited for Dre to become a playable character,” says Ben Banta, CEO of Ranida Games. “He is our very first character outside of our Early Access launch and we made sure to use everything we’ve learned from all the feedback we’ve gotten.”

BAYANI has also been announced to be an official side tournament at REV Major 2019, which will be held at The Tent, Solaire Resorts & Casino in Parañaque City from September 28-29, 2019. It also marks the first the first official tournament with a guaranteed prize pool for the top three winners.
