Ahead of the official opening of 2019 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3 2019), the press conferences for the major game developers and companies have begun. One of these was Devolver Digital.
The American game publisher has made its name with their unusual presentations and this year was no exception.
One of their more interesting announcements was Devolver Bootleg which is a launcher that can be purchased on Steam that allows you to play 8 ‘fake’ version of their popular titles. This is the full list of the games with the ‘bootlegged’ titles in the parentheses.
While a fun title they announced is Fall Guys Ultimate Knockout. Based on the trailer it looks like a last man standing kind of game wherein you go through obstacles and challenges against other players. Based on the trailer, some of these challenges/obstacles include trying to not get knocked off a pathway while going through a carwash machine thing or trying not to get knocked off a large skateboard.
Fall Guys Ultimate Knockout will be released in 2020 for PlayStation 4 and PC.
Carrion is another new title from Devolver that looks pretty interesting wherein you play the monster terrorizing what looks like a lab. This is coupled with pixel-style graphics which adds to the unique concept as a ‘reverse-horror game’.
Carrion will be released by 2020 for the PC.
The Messenger Picnic Panic DLC is a free expansion to the action-platformer, The Messenger. The DLC sends the young ninja on a tropical vacation of sorts. It adds in new stages and of course, new bosses to beat.
The Picnic Panic DLC will be available on July 11 for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC.
The last game they showcased is My Friend Pedro. Which is a unique 2.5D shooter that will test the creativity of the player obliterate all in his path with the strategic use of split aiming and slow motion. This all in the name of a sentient banana.
My Friend Pedro will be released on June 20 on Nintendo Switch and PC.
While we did say that My Friend Pedro is the game, they did announce an Enter the Gungeon: House of the Gundead arcade. Yes, an actual physical arcade game. This, of course, will be exclusive to arcades.
