Fallout 76 crossplay hindered by Sony
Posted by Paco Santos on July 01, 2018

Bethesda has stated that it would really like its upcoming online multiplayer survival game Fallout 76 to support crossplay between consoles and PC, but Sony is reportedly not keen on the idea.

When asked about the possibility of crossplay between PC, PS4, and Xbox One by German website GameStar.de, Todd Howard mentioned “We would love to do that, but right now that’s not possible. Sony isn’t being as helpful as we want them to be.”

No details have been revealed whether or not Bethesda would still consider adding crossplay between PC and Xbox One if Sony falls through.

Sony has been notorious recently for not allowing crossplay compatibility in popular games like Fortnite and Rocket League, but mentioned that they are looking at possibilities for crossplay in the future.

Fallout 76 launches globally on November 14, 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
