Esports and Gaming Summit 2019 has begun! The biggest gaming convention in the Philippines offers quite a lot to do and explore for gamers, esports enthusiasts, and everything in between. There’re esports tournaments, tech deals, games, tech demos, and of course, merchandise and art.
The merchandise and Artist Alley area of the convention has quite a number of booths. Each booth has its own unique style and theme, from design to the actual merch. We’ve scouted out the merchandise area and Artist Alley and here are five that I found that I think are worth checking out.
With a number of stalls with shirts to choose from, it was MM Tees that just stood out for me. Maybe it’s the way they presented their shirts up on their wall or a more unique design or both that just got me interested. In addition, they have iron-on patches and sticker packs on sale as well.
Their design of the shirts are pretty neat and span a variety of geekdom from video games to general geek stuff like Harry Potter and Star Wars.
Their shirts sell for PHP 350 apiece, iron-on patches go for PHP 100 and PHP 130 depending on the size, and sticker packs are priced at PHP 80.
Pixel Hero PH, as the name says, is a booth with more focus on pixel art. They have a variety of options, especially for their stickers. These come in different sizes and cater to most of the fandoms – anime, Harry Potter, video games, cats (yes, just cats, because why not?), cartoon, and many more.
Their pixel art design makes them unique and caters to my love of the 16-bit style.
Their stickers start at PHP 20 and go up to just below PHP 100.
Sketchy Gerry is a mainstay in the collectible sticker scene. His shading and highlighting give his stickers a more realistic feel to them. The stickers vary from music bands, cartoon characters, comic books, and gaming-related titles.
The price varies from PHP 20 up to PHP 100 with stickers packs available for PHP 50.
From clean to pixel to realistic, Poring Prints has a cuter aesthetic to it. The name is taken from the cute jelly monsters of Ragnarok fame. Despite the cute design, Poring Prints is more about statement stickers with a hint of memes and geekdom.
Poring Prints’ stickers sell for PHP 40 per sticker and PHP 100 for 3 stickers.
In case you missed the store at last year’s ESGS, this is your chance to get your hands on Death Stranding merch. The store includes stickers for PHP 350, shirts for PHP 1600, and ‘Caution’ tape for PHP 600 and PHP 800, to name a few. Other merchandise available includes mugs, pins, iPhone 7 cases, tumblers, and more.
With the game set for release on November 8, 2019, getting merch may help ease your way through your hype.
