Arc System Works has been releasing news after news about the new Guilty Gear fighting game over the last few months. And at SEA Major 2019 last weekend, the company launched another character trailer after the finals of the event’s Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 tournament along with a few other announcements on what fans can expect in the coming months. We’ve compiled everything we know so far about the new Guilty Gear game to make it easier for you to catch up.
Axl Low Character Trailer
The latest trailer, which was unveiled at SEA Major 2019, showed off series mainstay Axl Low with his new design and some of his gameplay, like the rest of the previously released character trailers. So far, apart from Axl Low, three other characters have been revealed including Sol Badguy, Ky Kiske, and May. Unlike the previous trailers though, Axl Low’s trailer didn’t have a teaser for the next character reveal for a reason we’ll mention later on in this article.
Playable Demo at ArcRevo America 2019
After Axl Low’s trailer reveal, Arc System Works announced that a playable demo for the new Guilty Gear will be available at ArcRevo America 2019 next month, the final of the first ArcRevo World Tour. The event will be held at the UC Irvine Student Center Conference Center from November 16 to 17, 2019, and will feature BlazBlue Central Fiction, BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle, and Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2.
Demo Will Fetaure Six Playable Characters
The Guilty Gear demo at ArcRevo America 2019 is set to not only feature the currently announced characters – Sol Badguy, Ky Kiske, May, and Axl Low – but also two more unannounced characters. That means there will be a total of six playable characters for the demo at ArcRevo America 2019.
Next Trailer During Arc System Works Live Stream
As for the two mystery characters that will be included in the playable demo at ArcRevo America 2019, Arc System Works has announced that they plan to reveal both duriing their Arc System Works Official Live broadcast in early November. Specifically, the livestream will be on November 4th, 2019, at 10:00 AM (GMT+8) or 11:00 AM (Japan Standard Time).
Guilty Gear (2020) is definitely one of the games we’re really looking forward to next year and we’re excited to know more about the game and the characters that will be featured in it at launch in the coming months.
