Kill la Kill the Game: IF Launching in Japan on July 25
Posted by Martin Patino March 14, 2019

It looks like we might be getting an idea of when the upcoming Kill la Kill the Game: IF arena battle-action fighting game from Arc System Works is coming out worldwide, with the announcement of the game’s release in Japan on July 25, 2019.

Whether the game’s Japan release will also coincide with its worldwide release is unknown as many games have released in Japan long before they’re released anywhere else. Hopefully that isn’t the case with Kill la Kill the Game: IF and we’ll be able to get our hands on the new game sooner rather than later.

Kill la Kill the Game: IF will feature a story mode with an original plot focusing on Satsuki Kiryuin that diverges from the show’s story. According to the anime’s screenwriter Kazuki Nakashima, the game’s story will follow a “what if?” scenario that branches off from the show’s eighth episode.

Kill la Kill the Game: IF is scheduled to release worldwide sometime this year for the PlayStation 4, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Check out the game’s trailer from Anime Expo 2018 below:
