Aside from a few more skirmishes, the laning stage was fairly uneventful, with the kill score being 3-2 in favor of LGD 12 minutes in.

At the 15-minute mark, IG went for a smoke gank, but LGD turned the gank around and they killed four of IG’s heroes. With their near-wipe, LGD gained a 5k net worth lead.

With momentum on their side, LGD dominated IG in the next few minutes; with the kill score ballooning to 15-3.After losing successive team fights, IG decided to call a very early GG at the 19-minute mark, the fastest GG call in the main event so far.

LGD again opened the game with first blood, this time on Op’s ALchemist. LGD found a few more kills on IG’s heroes, and they prevented Op from getting good farm in the early game. But IG got a few kills of their own, and the laning stage ended with a 5-3 kill score in favor of LGD.

The mid game saw trade-offs, but the two teams were content to farm for the most part. A big team fight happened 20 minutes in which started well for IG, as they picked off Yao’s Ancient Apparition. But LGD turned the fight around, netting the team four kills. With their decisive fight win, LGD took control of the game.

IG failed to win the next skirmishes, which allowed LGD’s cores to extend their net worth lead. With things looking grim for IG, the squad called another quick GG at 28 minutes in.

IG’s loss meant that they’re now out of the tournament. Though they did finish in 5th-6th place; not a bad spot, especially as they’ve secured a prize of USD 1,094,943.
