Netflix announced late last year that classic mecha anime Neon Genesis Evangelion would be coming to the popular streaming platform sometime in 2019. And the company has finally announced when exactly the popular mecha anime would be arriving on the platform.
According to an announcement by the Netflix on Twitter, Neon Genesis Evangelion will be available on the platform on June 21, 2019. The release will include the original 26 episodes of the anime series as well as the two feature films Death & Rebirth (or more specifically Death(True)2) as well as End of Evangelion.

The release of Neon Genesis Evangelion on Netflix marks the first time the series has been available on a streaming platform. Previously, the series has only been legally available through very limited physical releases, including DVDs and Blu-rays.
Neon Genesis Evangelion, created by Hideaki Anno, is one of the most celebrated and influential anime series of all time, owing mainly to it not only revolutionizing but also reinvigorating the mecha genre. It features a complex story involving themes such as existentialism, mysticism, religion, and more.
