League of Legends Champions Korea team, ROX Tigers announced earlier this week that their mid laner Sun “Mickey” Yong-min has left the team.
The announcement was made on their official Facebook page wherein they explained, “It was a difficult decision we came to after long discussions with the team and many reviews, and was made with deep consideration for the long term future of the team and players.”
Mickey joined the team late last year after the team was forced to rebuild the squad after the former members left the team. Since then, Mickey and the ROX Tigers has struggled in the local tournament and fell to G2 Esports during IEM World Championships in Katowice, Poland.
The team has continued to struggle through the Summer Split as well, currently the team sits at seventh place with a record of 4-6.
In Mickey’s place, the team have signed Kim “Crow” Seon-gyu and Kim “Lava” Tae-hoon. While not much is known of Crow, OGN caster, Chris “PapaSmithy” Smith revealed that Lava was formerly known as Taehoon. He was a former substitute Support for SK Telecom T1 during the 2016 LoL KeSPA Cup before swapping to the mid lane this year.
