Samsung Launches New Roster of Galaxy Wearables Geared for Fitness and Wellbeing

Samsung launched a new line of Galaxy Wearables specifically engineered with the fitness and health of its users in mind. The tech giant heralded the new crop of products in the best way possible— by having its very first obstacle course fitness challenge! The pulse pounding event was held at Pretty Huge Obstacles at SM Aura, Asia’s first multi-level obstacle course race training facility,   where some select members of the media ran through the gauntlet while showing off the durability and functionality of the exciting new devices.

Equipped with the new Galaxy Buds and the stylish Galaxy Watch Active, participants went through 10 of Pretty Huge Obstacles’ challenge stations to compete and vie for exciting prizes. The Galaxy Buds and Galaxy Watch active also allowed competitors to keep track of their time through the course and essential stats like calories and steps which will come in handy for prospective health and fitness-conscious users.

The Samsung Galaxy Buds allow users to play and listen to their favorite music to hype up and focus on their goals whether  in the gym, on the road, at home or at work. Thanks to the Galaxy Buds’ comfortable design, superb sound quality, and seamless connectivity, the wireless earbuds offer the best and easiest way to listen to music, take important phone calls and keep yourself entertained during your daily grind.

The Galaxy Buds also deliver up to six hours of music or five hours of talk time on a single charge. It can also connect instantly to any smartphone via Bluetooth and can be charged wirelessly by the Galaxy S10 as well. THe Galaxy Buds are available in black and white and are priced at PHP 6,990.

Samsung also launched the Galaxy Watch Active, an all-in-one fitness companion monitors exercise, sleep, stress, and health levels. The device also impressively detects common fitness activities such as running, biking, rowing, and using the elliptical trainer and allows for accurate statistical tracking. Wearers can also manually select from up to 40 different workouts, set daily goals, and monitor their progress in their fitness journeyall throughout.

The Galaxy Watch Active’s Stress Tracker function monitors its wearers every day tension levels with an option to take a Breath Session to bring them back to balance after a long day. There’s also the integrated Heart Rate Monitor that sends alerts when an irregular heart rate is detected. The device’s Sleep Tracker also catalogs the four stages of sleep, so wearers can check the quality of rest they had overnight.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active also features the trademark  sleek and streamlined design and the watch’s lightweight body makes it comfortable to wear even in the most vigorous of workouts.

The launch event also served as a sneak peek at the new Galaxy Fit and Fit e. The new fitness bands from Samsung is made for all types of fitness enthusiasts, from casual runners to athletes. The Galaxy Fit and Fit e offer a lot of the functionality of the Galaxy Watch Active but in a thin and lightweight body that are easy to style and comfortable to wear.

Much like the Galaxy Watch Active, The Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Fit e automatically start tracking your activity when you walk, run, bike, row, hop, or start a general dynamic workout. Users can also manually select from more than 90 different activities in the Samsung Health app on your smartphone and will the smart fitness bands will track accordingly. The bands also come with enhanced sleep analysis and smart stress management to monitor wellbeing at any time of the day.

The Galaxy Fit and Fit e will soon be available in the Philippines at a suggested retail price of PHP 4,990 and PHP 1,990, respectively.
