Stars of Netflix’s “Stranger Things” to attend AsiaPOP Comicon Manila 2017

The latest celebrity guests that will be attending the upcoming AsiaPOP Comicon Manila 2017 (APCC Manila) were announced in an official press release earlier today. Along with Netflix’s partnership with the event this year, the network has set for some of the cast members of the critically acclaimed series Stranger Things to grace the convention with their appearances.

First in the short list is Noah Schnapp, who plays the series’ central character, Will Byers. Aside from the show, the 12-year-old actor is also known to be the voice behind Charlie Brown in the The Peanuts Movie, and also star in the films Bridge of Spies and We Only Know So Much.

Next up is Joe Keery, who takes on the role of Hawkins High School’s cocky, popular student, Steve Harrington. Fans of the series might be more familiar with the actor as he also made appearances in other known shows such as Empire and Chicago Fire.

Finally, with the show’s second season expected to arrive a few months from today, two new members of the main cast — Dacre Montgomery and Sadie Sink — will also be joining the festivities. The two were announced to be joining the show as the step-siblings Billy (Montgomery) and Max (Sink), who were described to have a complicated relationship with each other and other people. The young artists both have a decent history in their acting careers, where Montgomery’s latest, major role was that of Jason Scott a.k.a. Red Ranger in the recent Power Rangers movie, while Sink had appearances in several series such as American Odyssey and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

Although not part of Stranger Things, the four stars mentioned above will be joining actors Ray Fisher and Tyler Hoechlin after both were announced  last week to be the first celebrity guests to confirm attendance for the event. Fisher was first discovered after playing Muhammad Ali in Will Power’s theatrical Fetch Clay, Make Man, and is now known to be taking on the role of Victor Stone a.k.a. Cyborg in the upcoming Justice League movie. In comparison, Hoechlin has a much more experienced career in acting after taking part in many known titles such as 7th Heaven, Teen Wolf, and Supergirl.
