It has been announced that the Taiwan Excellence Esports Cup (TEEC) 2019 will come to the Philippines.
The tournament is organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and Taiwan’s Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT), MOEA. The aim of the tournament is to show Taiwan’s commitment to bring its best technologies in the esports arena to more countries.
“Taiwan is known for its breakthrough electronics industry, with renowned innovations and quality products being developed for global distribution. Now with esports, we take pride in sharing that industry-leading brands are from Taiwan, with Filipino gamer,” said C.T. Wu, director of Strategic Marking Department at TAITRA in a statement.
The TEEC 2019 is partnering with ASUS, MSI, Aorus, Avermedia, In-Win, Kingmax, Transcend, XPG, Team Group, Zadak, G.Skill, and Zyxel to bring top-grade esports experience in the country.
Teams across the country will be competing for a PHP 360,000 prize pool in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO) and League of Legends (LOL). Elimination rounds for CSGO are underway while elimination rounds for LOL will take place in August.
TEEC 2019 will all culminate in the Grand Finals which will be held October 4-5 at the SM North Edsa The Block in Quezon City, Manila.
