Team Liquid signs veterans, Xmithie and Pobelter

North American LCS team, Team Liquid announced recently that they’ve signed veteran jungler and mid laner, Xmithie and Pobelter.

The team is one of the first teams in the new franchised North American League of Legends Championship Series (NA LCS) to announce some of the members of their new roster. This comes after the announcement made by Riot Games regarding the 10 teams that will be joining the revamped North American League of Legends Championship Series which included Team Liquid.

Jake “Xmithie” Puchero and Eugene “Pobelter” Park are seasoned veterans, both which played with the NA LCS team Immortals last Split and in the 2017 World Championship. However, despite the surprising performance of the squad at Worlds, the team was not approved in the 2018 NA LCS.

The Filipino jungler, Xmithie made his presence known with Team Vulcun in 2013 as they had an impressive run in the NA LCS and in the World Championship. He has since played for Counter Logic Gaming and Immortals. His supportive and play making role as a jungler has proven vital in the teams that he has played with.

Pobelter, on the other hand, is no stranger to the scene as he’s shown his skill on the Rift since the League of Legends has begun. He played for various teams including Team Curse, Evil Geniuses, Winterfox, Counter Logic Gaming, and Immortals.

Both players won’t have any issues as far as jungler – mid laner synergy is concerned having played with each other in Counter Logic Gaming and Immortals. However, after struggling through the Spring and Summer Split this year, they’ll have much to make up for.

Former Immortals support, Kim “Olleh” Joo-sung and Team SoloMid star AD Carry, Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng are reportedly to join the two veterans but no official announcements have been made by the team as of writing this.
