The Playoff teams are set for Overwatch Contenders Season 1

After more than a month of Overwatch gameplay, the Playoff teams for the Overwatch Contenders Season 1 North America and Europe regions have been determined. For NA, the four teams to move on the the Playoffs are: EnVyUs, FaZe Clan, EnVision eSports, and FNRGFE.

Meanwhile in EU, the teams that took the top four spots are: Misfits, Team Gigantti, 123, and Cloud9 EU.

Contenders North America

By the end of the Contenders Season 1 Group Stage, the top four teams remained unchanged compared to the standings four weeks in. At the top of the Group stands Team EnVyUs, who is still the NA team to beat, seeing as they have not dropped a single series throughout the season.

FaZe Clan followed behind them with a 6-1 record, with FaZe’s only series loss being against EnVy. Rounding out the Playoff spots are EnVision and FNRGFE, with 4-3 records each.

French team Rogue, who dominated NA a few months back with their dive-heavy lineups, disappointed this Contenders as they failed to move on to the Playoffs.

The NA playoffs will start on October 7, with the semifinals matches being EnVy vs. FNRGFE and FaZe vs. EnVision.

Contenders Europe

If EnVyUs is the undisputed top NA team, Misfits is their counterpart in Europe. The majority Swedish Misfits lineup dominated the competition in EU, as they ended the season with a 7-0 record.

At second place in EU is the Finnish Team Gigantti, who only dropped one series against Misfits. Team 123 and Cloud9 rounded out the top 4 at the end of Season 1.

EU and NA’s similarities do not end with the top teams, as Europe also has a team that had a disappointing Contenders run, and that is eUnited. During Season Zero, eUnited took the Championship for Europe, though this season they dropped all but one of their series.

The Contenders EU Playoffs will also start this October 7. The semifinals matches will be Misfits vs. Cloud9 EU and Team Gigantti vs. 123.
