The Red Dead Online Beta Is Now Live

The beta period for Red Dead Online, the online component of Red Dead Redemption 2, is now live. Those who purchased the Ultimate Edition of Red Dead Redemption 2 as well as those who played the game on October 26, 2018, when the game initially launched, will now be able to access the beta of Red Dead Online.

Those wanting to access the Red Dead Online can go to the title menu of Red Dead Redemption 2 and choosing the Online option from the top right of the screen.

Red Dead Online, which is built on Red Dead Redemption 2, is akin to Grand Theft Auto Online and Grand Theft Auto 5. In Red Dead Online, players will be able to create and customize their characters, join up to seven friends to form a Posse, and explore the world of Red Dead Online. Many of the gameplay features available in Red Dead Redemption are also available in Red Dead Online, such as setting up camps, hunting and fishing, going on missions, and more.

The result is something completely new and fun, and an experience that will continue to expand and evolve over time.”

Apart from those with the Ultimate Edition and those who started to play the game at launch, the Red Dead Online beta will be accessible by those who started playing Red Dead Redemption 2 from October 26 to 29 on November 29 while everyone else who owns Red Dead Redemption 2 will gain access on November 30, 2018, for both PlayStation 4  and Xbox One.
