AcadArena Unveils Qualifiers for National Campus Open: MLBB Tourney
Posted by Yuri Mangahas June 16, 2021

AcadArena announced that it has commenced the registration period for the upcoming season of the organization’s National Campus Open: MLBB tournament

Powered by Globe Telecom, the tourney aims to encourage Mobile Legends: Bang Bang teams at the senior high level to test their mettle in the Land of Dawn for an opportunity to claim the lion’s share of the event’s 120,000php prize pool, which consists of various grants, cash prizes, and other in-game rewards. Moreover, the winners will be eligible to apply for scholarships under the Globe-AcadArena Merit Esports Scholarship program.

The organization will hold two exclusive qualifiers for member schools of the United Collegiate Championship League and the Alliance on June 18 and 19 respectively, while open qualifiers will take place on June 20.

Each qualifier will employ a modified eight-team, double-elimination bracket for the playoff phase. The top four teams will be seeded into the upper bracket, while teams ranked fifth to eighth will join the lower bracket. The grand finals will be decided in a best-of-five duel, while the rest of the matches will use a best-of-three format.

Victors will receive a total of 15,000php along with five NCO gold medals, 5,000 diamonds, and five AcadArena commemorative pins. The second and third placers will pocket 10,000php and 5,000php, respectively, while the rest of the outliers will bag 20 commemorative pins.

Registration for the open qualifiers will be until June 16, 10:00 PM PHT. Interested teams may check the full rulebook by clicking here.
