The first-ever VALORANT Challengers Philippines is happening on February 5-7, 2021 at the Philippine Pro Gaming League’s official Facebook, Twitch, and YouTube!



Catch the very best teams and players in the country as they get their frag on to win a share of the whopping 1.5-million PHP annual prize pool! Whether you want to be part of the competition and trade blows with the best of the best or you just want to bear witness to the country’s greats duking it out, here is everything you need to know about VALORANT Challengers Philippines! 

 

How can I watch VALORANT Challengers Philippines? 

 

Valorant Challengers Philippines will be happening on February 5-7, 2021!



The pre-show will start at 14:00 PHT, with Agent Select starting at 14:30 PHT on each day except Sunday. On Sundays, the pre-show will start at 16:30 PHT, with Agent Select at 17:00 PHT.

 

Twitch has joined as a broadcast partner for VCT Challengers Stage 01. Their regional partner, the Philippine Pro Gaming League (PPGL) will be broadcasting on Facebook, Twitch, and YouTube

 

Which teams are competing? 

 

Some of the most prominent organisations in esports have confirmed they will be taking part in the historic first-ever VALORANT Challengers Philippines tournament, including BREN Esports, ArkAngel, Empire Esports, and SE Atlas which have qualified for First Strike. 

 

Other notable teams confirmed to be taking part include 6045 Pirates, Chimaera, Affinity Esports, and Dream Fyre.

 

What are the rules for players? 

 

Players in VALORANT Challengers Philippines will be subject to all the usual game rules, as  well as the specific tournament rules laid out here

 

What’s the VALORANT Challengers Stage 01 Week 01 format?

 

VALORANT Challengers Philippines will feature six weeks of open qualifiers and elimination brackets. 

 

Open qualifiers for Challengers Stage 01 Week 01 take place between 30 – 31  January in Philippines, with a best-of-one match designed to whittle down the competition to the best eight teams in the region.

These eight teams will go on to compete in the main event weekend on 5 -7 February in best-of-three for quarters and semi-finals, followed by a best-of-five in the finals for a spot to compete in the next Challengers event taking place on February 19 – 21. This is a single-elimination tournament, meaning that when you lose a series, you’re out of the competition.

Which maps will be played? 

 

All available Valorant maps will be used for qualifiers and main events, namely: Bind, Haven, Split, Ascent, and Icebox. Maps will be chosen by teams at the start of each round.  

Which agents will be used? 

 

All agents in the latest VALORANT roster, including our newest agent Yoru, will be available for use in the entire VALORANT Challengers Philippines.  

Can I join in? 

 

Yes! Despite the registration for the first round of VALORANT Challenger Philippines open qualifiers having already been closed. Registration for the 2nd qualifier is ongoing up until 7th February and you can head over here to register.
