Five Must-Play PlayStation 4 Games from 2019
Posted by cmsadminGG December 30, 2019

2019 was a great year for video games, with a plethora of new titles, long-awaited sequels, excellently-done remakes or remasters, and more. There was almost never a shortage of games to play on every platform, with many of them offering experiences that people will remember for years to come. We take a look back at some of the most notable games that came out this year for the PlayStation 4 that we think you should definitely check out, if you already haven’t.

Here are five must-play games on the PlayStation 4 from 2019:

Kingdom Hearts 3

After being in development for over half a decade, Kingdom Hearts 3 was finally released earlier this year for the PlayStation 4. The twelfth installment in the long-running franchise, Kingdom Hearts 3 concludes the Dark Seeger Saga of the series. While it may feel daunting to get into the franchise with Kingdom Hearts 3, there is a plethora of information available online to help you catch up with the story.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne

Monster Hunter World was one of the best games of 2018 and brought the franchise to more people than any other entry in the series before it. Its first expansion, Iceborne, takes what made Monster Hunter World so great and successful and builds on it even further with a new story arc, a mix of old and new monsters, additional gameplay mechanics, and more. There’s enough content in Iceborne that it feels more like a new, full game rather than just an expansion.

Catherine: Full Body

Catherine: Full Body is technically a remake of a game released in 2011 but the changes, additions, and improvements made to this version make it feel like the experience the original could have been, further building on and refining what was already a great game. While some of its imagery and themes might sit well with everyone, its engaging story and gameplay are definitely worth experiencing.

Concrete Genie

Concrete was one of the more discreet PS4 releases of 2019 but was definitely one of its more interesting exclusives of the year. Its visual style and mechanics, which was inspired by Jet Set Radio, in addition to its unique art-based gameplay as well as its heartwarming story make it a rather unique experience. While the game isn’t known for its length, the few hours that you’ll spend with it will definitely be enjoyable.

Death Stranding

Arguably one of the most polarizing games of 2019, the much-awaited Death Stranding from legendary video game producer Hideo Kojima offers an experience that definitely goes off the beaten path. Its unique story, setting, and gameplay make for a journey that players may find either incredibly interesting and engaging or confusing and tedious. Nonetheless, the first game from the creator of the Metal Gear series is definitely worth checking out.
