Grand Theft Auto V is Free on Epic Games and Its Servers Are Crashing
Posted by Raphael Leynes May 15, 2020

As part of the Epic Mega Sale 2020, Epic Games is giving away Grand Theft Auto V Premium Edition for free on the Epic Game Store. If you log in right now you can click the store tab and your free digital copy right now until the sale ends on May 21, 2020. However, that’s only if you can get through though because at the time of this posting the Epic Game Store servers are absolutely crashing thanks to the deluge of people wanting to grab the acclaimed crime-it-up from Rockstar Games.

Epic teased the big surprise earlier this week by showing a free “mystery game” that unlocks on the day of their big sale. When the countdown timer reached zero it was Grand Theft Auto V Premium Edition that emerged from within.

Fans went absolutely nuts and immediately flocked to the Epic Games Store rendering the service unusable for a brief period. We here at GG Network have experienced the client itself not bugging out,the timer for the mystery game reveal resetting to zero and the payout screen not loading but luckily we’ve managed to grab our copy after a huge bout of refreshing and restarting.

The Grand Theft Auto V: Premium Edition will include the complete Grand Theft Auto V story as well as free access to Grand Theft Auto Online and all existing gameplay upgrades DLC including The Doomsday Heist, Gunrunning, Smuggler’s Run, Bikers and the Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack for GTA Online.

Grand Theft Auto V is just the first free “Mystery Game” that was revealed for the sale with more on the way. The next free mystery game will unlock next week in exactly 6 days and 11 hours as of the time of this posting and if it’s anything in the magnitude of GTA V you wouldn’t want to miss it
