Introducing Hearthstone’s Year of the Phoenix
Posted by Christer de Guia March 19, 2020

Hearthstone is heating up the Year of the Phoenix , starting with a new expansion, new cards, and a new CLASS since the game’s launch!

An Explosive Year (of the Phoenix)

The Year of the Dragon has ended; bring forth the Year of the Phoenix! With a vast roadmap of expansions, updates, and in-game events in the works, the Year of the Phoenix is looking to be an exciting year.

Kicking off the new season is a new expansion called Ashes of Outland, which will introduce a new class, cards, and boatloads of features.

Introducing the NEW Demon Hunter Class

You are not prepared!

Hearthstone’s first-ever all-new class, the Demon Hunter, will be FREE for all players who complete the free Demon Hunter Prologue campaign, which takes you back to the origin story of Blizzard’s resident edgelord Illidan Stormrage.

Hearthstone players can embark on the campaign starting April 3. Completing the prologue will give players access to 30 Demon Hunter class cards and a pre-built starter Demon Hunter deck!

The Demon Hunter cards and class will be in rotation starting April 8 at the launch of Ashes of Outland.

Ashes of Outland Expansion Set

Aside from the new class, Ashes of Outland takes the world of Hearthstone beyond the Dark Portal and into the shattered, war-torn realm that was the setting of World of Warcraft’s The Burning Crusade.

They really are taking you to Outland!

The new expansion will introduce 135 cards that will shake the current meta.

As early as now, Hearthstone players can pre-purchase the Ashes of Outland Mega Bundle for $79.99, which includes 90 Ashes of Outland card packs, one random Ashes of Outland Golden Legendary card, the Lady Vashj Shaman Hero, the Serpentine card back, Arena tickets, and bonuses for the Battlegrounds game mode. Purchasing the Pre-Purchase Bundle for $49.99 will get you 55 card packs, one random Ashes of Outland Legendary card, and the Serpentine card back.

Special Goodies for Pre-Registering

In celebration of the Demon Hunter’s arrival on to the tavern, players from the Southeast Asia region will be eligible to participate in a region-specific campaign and receive at least three FREE Hearthstone packs!

Starting now until April 7, players who complete the pre-registration through the Hearthstone website can claim their goodies, which include packs from Classic set or Year of the Dragon expansions.
