NBA 2K21: FlipTop Hits The Blacktop
Posted by Raphael Leynes December 01, 2020

2K has just unveiled their awesome new collaboration with the Filipino battle rap circuit, FlipTop. This marks the first time that makers of the acclaimed NBA 2K franchise have made a Tagalog video, which serves as a nod of appreciation towards the undying and unwavering support of the local Filipino NBA 2K community.

The 4-minute video features two premiere FlipTop legends, Loonie and Sinio during a friendly online game of NBA 2K. The exchange starts to get heated though as both wordsmiths start debating as to which era of basketball is the best. As the battle of words ensues FlipTop arbiter extraordinaire Anygma enters the scene to make it an official FlipTop battle between the two. What follows is an intense barrage bars as Loonie championed the old school days spitting verses about Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, and Larry Bird while Sinio threw down for the modern era dropping bombs about LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Giannis Antetokounmpo

It’s an absolutely thrilling battle between the two master lyricists and one that must be seen and heard to be believed. I’m on my 20th replay and I’m not stopping soon? How many times will you run it back?

Watch it here:

NBA 2K21 is now available on PlayStation®4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch™, and Windows PC  and is up to 50% off* for a limited time only. The game will also be playable starting December 11 on the PlayStation®5 when the console launches in the Philippines.

Watch the full video on the NBA 2K Facebook Page and 2K Asia YouTube page for more information and decide which era of basketball is superior.
