ASUS launches the new ZenFone Max Plus, their first smartphone with an 18:9 display

ASUS has recently launched the latest iteration of their renowned Zenfone Max line, the ZenFone Max Plus. The Plus is ASUS’ first-ever smartphone with an 18:9 FHD+ display; it also features a dual rear camara setup, as well as ASUS’ face unlock technology. And as a ZenFone Max smartphone, it has a large 4,130mAh battery.

The ZenFone Max Plus is packed with a 5.7″ screen with a full-HD resolution. And as with most new smartphones, the Plus’ bezels are reduced to give it an 80% screen-to-body ratio. With its thin bezels, the phone is no larger than typical 5.2-inch smartphones, even it it has a large display.

At the back of the phone is the dual-camera setup. The ZenFone Max Plus is packed with an 16MP f/2.0 main camera that’s complemented by an 8MP 120-degree wide-angle camera. Its front camera is also nothing to scoff at, as it has a 16MP sensore and an f/2.0 aperture lens.

As a ZenFone Max phone, the Plus is fitted with a 4,130mAh battery that ASUS claims will give users up to 26 hours on standby, 21 hours of web browsing on Wi-Fi, and 13 hours of video playback. As with other ZenFone Max phones, the Plus can also be used as a power bank to charge other devices.

While the phone has a rear fingerprint sensor, ASUS gave the Max Plus a face unlock feature, which offers users more security options.
