ASUS unveils new Ultrabooks and All-in-One PCs for 2017

It’s Computex season once again, and different PC manufacturers are releasing a slew of new hardware. One such manufacturer is ASUS, as they’ve recently announced new laptops and PCs at Computex, ranging from business-grade laptops to consumer ultrabooks.

ASUS didn’t just make a splash at Computex though, as they’ve also unveiled these new models of theirs at their 10th Anniversary Event in the Philippines last May 30. While a number of these laptops and All-in-Ones are focused more on productivity and general use, some of the models are packed with rather capable GPUs; meaning they may be able to run popular Esports titles.

Here are the laptops and All-in-Ones that caught our eye during the launch:

ASUS ZenBook Pro

ASUS’ ZenBook family, as with most ultrabooks, are designed with portability and style in mind. Though the high-end of the ZenBook Pro caught our attention, as it packs an Intel Core i7 H-series processor and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. With these specs, the ZenBook Pro can surely run games such as Dota 2 and League of Legends with ease; Overwatch will also run on high settings, seeing as the 1050 Ti is a fairly capable GPU. It’s a wallet-buster though, as it has a starting SRP of PHP 104,995.

ASUS VivoBook

The ASUS VivoBook Pro and VivoBook S also piqued our interest. While not exactly gaming laptops, the VivoBook Pro features a 7th gen Intel Core i5 or i7, 16 GB of DDR5 memory, a 512 GB SSD, and up to an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050. With its specs, most Esports titles are sure to run fluently in Medium to High settings.

The VivoBook S meanwhile, packs an Intel Core i5/i7, 256 GB of SSD Storage, 8 GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce GT 940MX GPU. While the 940MX isn’t as powerful as the newer Pascal GPUs, it has enough juice to run games such as Overwatch in medium settings, provided that you bump down the resolution of course.

The more powerful VivoBook Pro is priced at PHP 74,995.

While the VivoBook S has an SRP of PHP 44,995.

ASUS Zen AiO Pro

Designed for creative applications, ASUS’ all-in-one Zen AiO Pro features a 3840×2160 UHD display, an Intel Core i7 processor, 16 GB of DDR4 memory, a 128 GB SSD + 1 TB HDD, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 video card. With it’s spec sheet, the Zen AiO Pro will not only run creative software with ease, as it looks to be a decent option for gaming too. It does cost a pretty penny though, with an SRP of PHP 100,995.

ASUS’ new laptops and AiOs will be released in July 2017.
